1. I didn't know that Samantha Power introduced him
Earlier, I only caught the last half of this event. Nice hearing her speak again, too.

I haven't seen Clark this fired up for this length of time before. He obviously feels very comfortable, and passionate talking about International issues.

I will be interested in the media's take on this speech. He really hit Bush hard.

10. We've got to try
and stay positive. The media coverage WILL increase when Clark releases his contribution data for the 4th Qtr. Until then we've got to tough it out. Clark is looking good!

11. why do they ignore him, any ideas?
I notice that, too. I don't understand. I would assume the media would be focusing on him, if for no other reason, so they could tear him down.

12. "Bush will travel half way around the world for a photo op...
"but won't go across town to attend a soldier's funeral."

Clark's best zinger of the night.

BTW - he was asked why he thought his military record would be a positive against bush. He gave an OK answer, but I think this is what he shoud say:

"Well, with bush, we've seen what can happen when a president lacks real experience in foreign policy and military matters. You allow yourself to get pushed around by the so-called professionals that you've hired to fill in the blanks in your resume. These so-called professionals usually have only one idea to the forefront - their own standing as an expert in the intelligence/policy community. They know that if their ideas are implemented they will gain in power and prestige within any administration. And, they know that once they leave politics, they'll be on the military-industrial complex's short list of preferred and pricey consultants.

"Had a Richard Perle or a Dick Cheney come to ME with such a short-sighted scenario as the one bush implemented in Iraq, he would have been shot down immediately, if not sent packing. But with THIS president, the ideas start elsewhere and the buck never stops anywhere. I think America has seen what happens when you substitute decisiveness with expediency, and when you substitute hands-on experience with bought-and-paid-for opinions."

13. He was the best I've ever seen him!
How informed on the issues he is. How decisive without being patronizing or condescending to others' views. How engaging, personality-wise. How articulate. How natural.

I just love 'im. (and hey.....he sure does have pretty eyes)
