Hell has frozen over in western CT.
The usually (99% of the time) right wing Danbury News Times endorsed Murphy over Johnson in the congressional race. I couldn't believe what I was reading. They have always given her front page coverage and past endorsements. She must be Livid. LOL
There is hope yet.

4. I think she REALLY blew it this time with her incredibly ugly
ad campaign.

What she had going for her with most folks -- people not paying attention to her slavish adoration and support for the likes of Newt Gingrich -- was that "she's such a nice lady".

Well, she's sure made sure no one is under THAT misaprehension anymore, hasn't she?

Chris is a nice guy, and comes across as a nice guy. He has a record here in CT that people can look at. He's been terrific with constituent care. And I think people have had enough of the ugly Nancy's selling. Big tactical mistake on her part.

And I'll be so thrilled when Chris wins!

They have now endorsed Democrat Diane Farrel over Repug Christopher Shays. I'm in shock.

7. Johnson's ads were among the very worst I've ever seen. She deserved to lose.
Absolutely hateful, wrong-headed, stupid campaigning from Nancy Johnson. She went so far as to hire a guy to play Murphy in her commercials, going door to door and being turned away, until he is welcomed into a drug den by a bunch of stoners. It was beyond contemptible. She lowered herself as low into the gutter as she could get, and is paying the price.
