Why are Dems doing so well? Independents |

Independents went 7 to 3 for the Dem candidate in Wyoming at large, they broke for Webb, for McCaskill, they are breaking for Tester
We should thank independents for our victories tonight. Middle of the road voters.

Protect and defend the constitution in its entirety. We can't play favorites with the bill of rights.

an increasing number of Independents are disgusted former Dems, sometimes Green voters who can't register Green in their states. Sometimes LIbertarians, who can swing left (like Bill Maher). A lot of the newer Independents are African Americans who are tired of being taken advantage of.

3. Independents are not necessarily middle of the road |
|
Most of the people I know consider themselves independent because they think both parties are too centrist. Their choice is not between voting Democrat or Republican; it is between voting Democrat, Green, or not at all.
