7. A precinct in Portland
Just got a report from Portland. Our precinct went 88 for Dean - 88 for Kerry - 54 Kucinich (these are actual votes) that equals 9 delegates for D. and K. and a coin toss gave Dean an extra one!!

No other numbers have come in yet.

GO DR. DEAN!! GO DEAN TEAM!!! GO MAINE!!

I saw that email, and was thinking that wasn't the surprise. I had read some pretty earthshaking rumours, so I guess I was expecting something really big. That's why they call them rumours, eh?

But hey, the commercial vote is something you don't see any other campaign doing. I like it.

33. If Dean took Portland in a big way combined with the other wins I've heard
if Kerry is declared the winner there HAS to be some kind of fix/tampering. Portland is the biggest city in Maine. Dean also won Camden and a coupld of other places I'm sure of. I also heard that another of the larger towns was leaning heavily towards Dean. Even in the places Kerry won that I heard first hand reports from were extremely close. We need to be watching things closely. I counted up just the delegates Dean won from the caucuses DUer's attended and it was 8 delegates. That's NOT including Portland or Kennebunkport.

37. Yes, and CNN just projected it for Kerry also. If they have exit polls,
it's pretty easy to make a projection. They just first have to make sure the actual vote totals coming in are close to what their exit polls show. Once they verify the accuracy of the exit polls, they can make the call.

Three solid second places in a row, plus second in delegates. At this point, Dean is Kerry's strongest opponent.

41. Once again, Kerry can not get the majority of votes in his own party...
The media has anointed Kerry and told the voters he's the guy to vote for, but the anti-Kerry vote wins again. Kerry ran almost unopposed in Michigan, and still could only get half of the Dem voters to vote for him (Dean made a few campaign stops, but had zero ads; Edwards and Clark didn't even bother to compete in Michigan). Kerry's support is very weak. He is yet to be seriously vetted by the media or public, and this may not happen until after he wins the nomination. Repugs/media are holding back on him until he wins. The repugs ran anti-Dean ads in Iowa to stop him--why no anti-Kerry ads?

54. The worst part is how the delegates are swayed by this.
To the point that they don't care about accurately counting the votes. At first I thought "early returns" were okay as long as they occured after the polls closed, but Washington has shown us that this is not the case, and that we should wait until after the votes themselves are tallied (at least in the case of subjective caucuses), otherwise people may be swayed unnecessarily.

other than Kerry. Hardly the mandate the media wants us to believe.

Go Dean!

I hope he doesn't quit after Wisconsin, but stays on Kerry's back all the way until he passes him in Delegates.

I think it's making the Dems stronger candidates.

Computer malfunction? That's scary.

Seriously, what could be the problem? Are they still counting?

Nothing I can imagine makes sense for the halt in reporting results. Well, nothing above board, anyway.

And, as slinkerwink said, all of WA hasn't been reported yet.

This in an age where pictures from Mars can be placed on the net within minutes.
