The Truth: Fiscally Conservative, Socially Progressive

The Lie: Unelectable
The Truth: That's what they said about Bill Clinton at the same point in the campaign. Plus, Dean is the ONLY candidate who can convincingly run against Bush, since he's the only major candidate left who didn't vote for a majority of Bush's agenda (war, tax cuts, NCLB, etc.)

The Lie: Running out of money
The Truth: Has a better financial situation than any of his competitors

The Lie: A candidate yelling "YEAH!" into a microphone
The Truth: 3,500 supporters in an auditorium screaming "YEAH!" at the same time, which the media filtered out before playing the clip more than 700 times over 2 days

The Lie: The race is already won, your vote doesn't matter
The Truth: The vast majority of us have yet to vote, but your vote is especially critical
