John Kerry: Isn't that special?
One columnist things John Kerry is too beholden to special interests.

5. I'm really not supporting either side, becaue they honestly don't look
that different to me. I'm going to campaign most vigorously against George W. Bush, but I can't "support" the Democrats this time around. I'm just fed up with all the crap. They've given the Republicans all the help they need. They haven't really attacked corporations, the corporate media, etc.

Even this chatboard is beginning to depress me. Education is very seldom discussed, and no one ever mentions the real problems. Mention Bill Gates, and you often attract more Microsoft fans than critics.

This is insanity.

7. We are focused ....
Let's face it: ... Its hard to bicker about education and poverty and stuff like that, if we are hanging from chains in a PNAC gulag ...

FIRST things first ...

BTW: ... if you have no interest in helping US rid the nation of the Bush/GOP juggernaut, then why not just go elsewhere, and STOP letting us depress you ? ...

9. Oh, puhLEEZ!
"Let's face it: ... Its hard to bicker about education and poverty and stuff like that, if we are hanging from chains in a PNAC gulag ...

"FIRST things first ..."

That's the same crap I heard last year, two years ago, three years ago, a decade ago...

Will it EVER be time to stick up for children? For crying out loud, Democrats make so much noise about all they've done for minorities, yet they don't give a damn about KIDS???

It's not hard to bash Bush and discuss education at the same time. Look at the General Discussion forum. There are conversations about everything under the sun, from Afghanistan to people's favorite beverages - everything but education.

"BTW: ... if you have no interest in helping US rid the nation of the Bush/GOP juggernaut, then why not just go elsewhere, and STOP letting us depress you ? ..."

But I AM interested in getting rid of Bush - and a lot more. I'm NOT interested in a campaign that's been wearing blinders since 2000.

6. it is...
some clever people wait until the middle of the night to post, knowing no mods will be able to act immediately. Hell, there's at least 4 threads on the front page of GD04 that will be locked as soon as a mod comes online.

8. I wouldn't be quick to label that right-wing trash.
I think someone said the author is a right-winger, and my initial response to the article was, "Aha - more right-wing propaganda!"

But I took a closer look and decided it may have some substance - even if it is right-wing propaganda. I don't see many people attacking the specific charges. So are they true or false?

10. It's also a dupe
Been posted and discussed a couple of times a day for several days. I'm sure you can either do a search or just click backwards and find the threads if you're really interested in "the truth".

12. Locking...
7. You may not post any material from extreme right-wing sources, specifically WorldNetDaily.com, Newsmax.com, FreeRepublic.com, and their ilk. Material from more "mainstream" conservative writers or sources, such as The Washington Times and Fox News, are permitted as long as the post includes a clear warning about the source. (For example: "WARNING: Please note that this article is written by George Will.")
