The highest executive office should be a great
leader, not a judge or a legislator.
Why are we always picking senators, congressmen, and governors for the presidency? When did this become a standard - after George Washington??
Wesley Clark would raise the bar for future presidents. We need people with expertise in leadership, not scamming votes, comprimising your values, shoveling pork to your neighbors, and trading votes for hand-outs.
It reminds me of corporate america where you often get the most qualified
production person promoted into management; not only have you just lowered your human capital by removing your best production person, but whether the new manager has a modicum of leadership skills (or even people skills) is often considered irrelevant until long after they have destroyed the morale in the department and killed productivity.
