Any Predictions for 2007?
Looks like Bush wants to put 30,000 more troops in Iraq. No surprise there. But how will that play in Peoria? Not too well I don't think.

Bush obviously wants to hit Iran but I don't think that will happen. Not with the mess he created right next door and all of our troops stuck in that quicksand.

Will Israel and Palestine come to some kind of agreement? I think that actually may happen. Both sides are pretty sick of the ongoing violence.

And I think Bush will actually become a lame duck. He doesn't seem to have any friends any more. And as much as he hates it he can't do much without some kind of backing. Especially now that we have Democratic Congress that would actually kick him out if he got very out of line.

And I hope the stock market keeps going up.

And I think the housing market will continue to decline.

1. There will be at least ONE major bombshell coming out of upcoming
Congressional hearings, if not more. There will be a series of smaller bombshells as the oversight and investigatory committees get into full swing.

The big bombshell will cause major upheavals in White House personnel, but there will be a back off from a presidential resignation, due to concerns by the big money guys about the U.S. stock market. UNLESS, the scandal is so huge that there can be no other way than to have Bush resign. However, my sense is that since both he and Cheney are equally in so deep, there will be a desperate attempt not to completely rock the boat.

I hate to say this, but maybe we should start reading the Wall Street Journal as the investigations/subpoenas/actual televised hearings get underway...

3. I predict the following:
Somewhere a Republican pedophile will be caught in 2007.
Somewhere a Republican will be exposed as corrupt.
Somewhere a Republican will resign in disgrace in 2007.
And all of them will blame the Democrats and the media for their problems.

5. No impeachment by June, then all of DU marching on Washington in August
in protest and camping out in tents in the thousands around DC just across the Potomac, and in between there's lots of good live music and partying, followed by the rest of the country joining in with us to get the chimp impeached, followed by Congress feeling the pressure and impeaching Bush and Cheney, followed by the resignation of Bush in early October and the conviction and imprisonment of Cheney by November, followed by the trial of the millennium of George W Bush for crimes against humanity in early 2008, followed by Bush skipping town to Saudi Arabia.

7. Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, and Bill Richardson will anounce
their candidacies for President of the United States. Probably some more, but I'm not sure which ones. Same with the Republicans.

Subpoenas, Subpoenas, Subpoenas!!!

If Cheney has another heark attack/episode this will give him the chance to resign and Bush will appoint somebody like Sam Brownback V-P giving him a better shot for the GOP nomination in 08.

Harold Ford Jr. is going to get married then prepare to start running against Lamar Alexander.

There will be at least 100,000 troops in Iraq on December 31, 2007 (I hope I'm wrong).

Mahmud Ahmadinejad and Kim Jong Il will meet in Pyongyang basically just to piss Bush off and with the media's spin it will give him a little bump in the polls.

Barack Obama will decide not to run for President but their will be a small number of delegates at the Democratic Convention who will try to draft him.

Bush will be subpoenaed late in the year over the WMD claims.
