Revealed: Rudy's '08 battle plans (campaign strategy leaked to press)

Poor Rudy-patooti...

:puke:

Revealed: Rudy's '08 battle plans

It's clearly laid out in 140 pages of printed text, handwriting and spreadsheets: The top-secret plan for Rudy Giuliani's bid for the White House.

The remarkably detailed dossier sets out the budgets, schedules and fund-raising plans that will underpin the former New York mayor's presidential campaign - as well as his aides' worries that personal and political baggage could scuttle his run.

At the center of his efforts: a massive fund-raising push to bring in at least $100 million this year, with a scramble for at least $25 million in the next three months alone.

The loss of the battle plan is a remarkable breach in the high-stakes game of presidential politics and a potentially disastrous blunder for Giuliani in the early stages of his campaign.

The document was obtained by the Daily News from a source sympathetic to one of Giuliani's rivals for the White House. The source said it was left behind in one of the cities Giuliani visited as he campaigned for dozens of Republican candidates in the weeks leading up to the November 2006 elections.

Giuliani spokeswoman Sunny Mindel suggested there were political dirty tricks behind the loss of the documents and called the timing suspicious.

6. Agreed.
Rudy has a zipper problem and he's pro-choice. Those morals won't play well in Jesusland.

McCain supports escalation in Iraq and it's called an Alice in Wonderland idea by a fellow Republican senator. And given how McCain has completely capitulated to the evangelicals, his Straight Talk Express took a detour through Bullshitville.

Romney tries to be tough on immigration, but he hired an illegal himself.

And Newt? This is the guy who served divorce papers to a bedridden first wife fighting cancer and the guy who cheated on his second wife while supporting Clinton's impeachment. Newt also thinks we have too much free speech.

If these men are the Republican front-runners for the White House, the GOP is in trouble for 2008.

7. I Tend to Agree
although it does look like a weak field for the GOP next year. Although you never know what voters will overlook. Reagan was a divorced atheist former union leader and FDR voter. Guiliani's positives -- September 11, public prosecutor victories, and the turning NYC around -- are quite impressive.

Part of it depends on how much the media plays up the antiabortion issue, and how much GOP opponents use it during the primaries. Single-issue abortion voters have apparently declined, and Republican candidates who attack Guiliani will have to deal with that baggage during the general election.

4. I look forward to RWG's political death spiral.
One book already out there truthfully detailing his baggage, and more to come I'm sure.

8. Guiliani's spokeswoman should have left open the possibility that it was a fake
Until I saw her comment, I thought it might well be a fake document - which would not be beyond Rove. The Money/timeline plans of all the candidates are likely variations about a standard plan and the page describing potential liabilities could be the real thing delivered.

10. I don't know
When you get past the fact that he's a totally unviable fascist with no hope of winning anything except a "Creepiest Smile Ever" contest, I think he could easily get within thirty to fourty points of Tom Vilsack in a general election.

13. Whoopsie doodle! Rudy's insurmountable problems
Wife number 1--His cousin no less.

Wife number 2--Donna Hanover--can you say bitter and out for blood. This guy cheated on her in Gracie mansion no less. Will she make a comeback in the "Vagina Monologues" if Rudy runs for President?

Wife number 3--Was screwing Rudy while he was married to wife number 2. They actually once did a NY Tourist Bureau appearance celebrating the joy of nooners at New Yorks many fine hotels dressed in bathrobes no less.

Bernie Kerik--Did not screw Rudy (to the best of my knowledge) but did screw everybody else including (literally) a Ms. Regan (of OJ "If I Did It" fame)in a penthouse overlooking the ruins of the World Trade Center.

New Yorkers found the first three pretty amusing--the last of course was sacrilege--but I really doubt that other parts of the country would find Rudy's extra-curricular activities amusing however much they might like his law and order, hero of 9/11, tough guy image.

This should be lots of fun in Bible Belt land.

15. Man that's funny

Even better yet, those documents list his own weaknesses in them to. Can't think of Rudy's weaknesses so that you can bury him with them? Don't worry, he's already done that for you.
