I say, what is good for the goose is good for the gander. You treated us like shit, why should we play nice.

1. Identical to Pelosi's 2004 Bill? What a bunch of lazy wankers. And
it's amazing they just skip over their abusiveness to Dems when they held the control.

2. This should be sent to every rethuglican with a point for point rebuttal
showing the multitudes of unethical and/or illegal tactic they used while they had the majority! I don't have the research know-how to compile it, but if anyone knows of any source for how many times they screwed us out of a vote, for example, it would sure show how incredibly hypocritical this is of them!

3. Just one question....
Were those considerations given to the other minority pre midterm elections?

9. I hope they prove your theory right.
I like to think of myself as a fair, sensible person who uses the Golden Rule in life, but this is one situation that doesn't call for the Golden Rule. The Puggies played it last time as if it were a single-shot game. And they were vicious: Sensenbrenner ending a hearing by turning off the mic's & lights as the Democrats were still speaking, taking his gavel with him :eyes: is just one example. We could have a whole thread on examples of their viciousness.

5. Their "duty" is to see that the People receive "just" & "meaningful" representation? Hahaaaa!
They hide behind the noble cause of supporting the troops when pushing their get-rich-quick scheme in Iraq; they hide behind the noble cause of representing the People when they lose their get-rich-schemes in Congress.

The troops were forgotten under their leadership as much as the People were forgotten. Except for Terri Schiavo.

6. Pelosi shouldn't even consider it until she's had time to undo
the damage done to the balance of power between the executive and legislative branches, and to our Bill of Rights.

After that she can take a look at their proposal.

11. And undoing their damage should take at least the rest of their two-year terms
Why should the Democrats invite the input of those who are responsible for creating the damage? It's just common sense.

7. I notice that there is no mention that the republican majority
TOTALLY IGNORED THIS when it came from Pelosi.

8. Did they sponsor a similar bill in 1996, in 2005 or any year in-between?
They just now *get* that shutting the other party completely out of the legislative process disenfranchises voters? I believe that aside from the first 100 hours, that the dem leadership will try to act in good faith per allowing gop participation (including offering amendments and the like) in the process - except when - as Blunt and other GOP leaders have already indicated to the press that they would do - when the GOP amendments are "gotch!" type amendments geared specifically and solely for creating divisive votes to be used against dems in divided congressional districts as wedgie campaign ads.

12. When they had the power to do anything they wanted for the people,
they did nothing, because it isn't the People who can afford to line their pockets, it's the corporations who pay for legislation.

Can anyone name one piece of legislation under the Rethug majority that improved the quality of life for the People?

14. Ahhh, Republicans back in their natural habitat: Victimhood
If they don't have anything to whine about, even before they're in the minority, I'd guess that some of these assclowns wouldn't be able to speak at all. And Patrick McHenry's signature on that letter is the height of hypocritical whinery.

Take your medicine, boys.

To hell with minority rights, shouldn't they be demanding minority rule now the American people have turned traitor on them? Having the wrong majority's just ungodly! Isn't anyone else patriotic any more? Dammit! Those... those... people!
