Are you ready for the "War on Christians"?

The RW will come out swinging in the next congress. They haven't had the success they hoped for with the "War on..." terror, drugs, gays, morality, Christmas, etc., so why not take it fully nuclear and denounce the "liberal" attack on Christianity itself?

They have been doing this as a whisper campaign for years, so would anyone be surprised to see it take front and center? With the results of 2006 fresh in their minds, many on the right have felt they just weren't "right" enough and they should just say what they have always felt: Democrats are Godless heathens that should be purged from all public vision.

Maybe they just seem desperate to me, but how much farther would they have to go for this to be their public mantra?

All the knuckledraggers are convinced that Christians in the U.S. are persecuted and they have lost all their freedom of religion. However, I seriously doubt that it will capture the imagination of the voting public -- which is predominantly Christian and have never experienced anything even resembling suppression.

4. I unfortunately bumped into Newt Gingrich on Fox yesterday

narrating their history of God in the United States. I think the program was called "One Nation Under God" but can't be sure. Anyway, I turned it off pretty fast as it was obvious from the git go this was sooooooo RW propaganda. If I were God, I'd be furious to have my name taken in such vain.

months. Show these false preachers a thing or two about persecution. And sadly, it is exactly their sheep who would pay the cable company to bring it live on Pay-per-view. Hell, toss Falwell and Dobson in the ring with a lion or two, and I'd probably pay to tune in myself!
