What is the definition of "sacrifice"?
Bush is constantly reminding us of the "sacrifice" that the troops are making in Iraq. I look in my dictionary and the first definition I find says: "the act of offering the life of a person or animal,or some object, in propitiation of or homage to a deity."

1. That fit's the Junta's definition perfectly
They are the priests offering the sacrifice. The American public -- more specifically, the Americans who are in the US Military or National Guard -- are the sheep being offered up as sacrifices.

2. Asking *ush to know the
definition of a word is a really long stretch. It'll be interesting to see the Freep response after his big plan is announced. I'd loved to be a fly on the wall to see the reactions..some are not going to take to quickly to a "sacrifice", especially if it means them.

5. His best sacrifice
other than sending his ditzy daughters to Iraq would be to have cheney go along with him and they both resign.

6. Hell...they won't care what '"sacrifice" means,
as long as their taxes don't go up. 3,000 lost doesn't seem to bother them.
Hundreds of thousands of dead Iraqi citizens doesn't seem to bother them.
25,000+ wounded troops doesn't seem to bother them.

But if Shrubbie has to raise tax $$ to pay for the escalation in Iraq, and
the war in Iran, they will come out of their mommy's basement to protest.
