What to say to wingnuts who complain "the Democrats will be spending up the Treasury"
Special thanks to Rep. Barney Frank, who was, as usual, brilliant, in his interview with Keith Olbermann.

To paraphrase, he said, I expect that when I want to implement some plan or program, I will be asked, How do you expect to find the money for this ambitious program? I expect people will accuse us of using too much of the taxpayers' money. To those people, I reply that (exact quote) "I was in Washington, D.C., on September 10, 2001, and I know for a fact that there was no money in the budget for an Iraq war." Yet I notice that the republicans managed to speedily find FOUR HUNDRED BILLION DOLLARS to launch that war. Would it be too much for me to ask for, say, a tenth of that amount, to use for something I want done?

(Some of you may reply that, well, the repukes have actually borrowed against our country's future wealth to fund this fraudulent war. Perhaps. But regardless of where they got--or will get--the money, what Rep. Frank said is true: if the bastards could "find" FOUR HUNDRED BILLION DOLLARS for their fraudulent killing spree, then we can "find" money for whatever the democrats want to pass.

And I don't ever want to hear about "tax and spend" democrats again. As with many regular repuke talking points, Junior has spoiled that meme for the repukes forever.

8. That graph says it all.
Thanks for that. I might print up a few copies so I can not only show it to people but give it to them so they can show someone else. For starters, I have a Repub brother who needs to paste it to his forehead until he finally gets the point.

5. If you call democrats "tax & spend"
then you can call republicans "tax less & spend more". I will settle for the title "tax & spend" any day over the other.

7. Republicans "found" 400 billion but they can't find WMD.
I have no problem chit chatting with the ignorant trash who think they are "conservatives."

10. Treasury....uh...don't you have to have money in your checking account, before
you can write a check? Our checking account is empty...now anything that needs done, will require raising taxes...thanx to the opposition's "never leaving anything they want, undone, party" over the last 6 years...How about we have them prove where all the money in their party's coffers came from, for a start, or how about we find out who's pockets all that money lost in Iraq went into?.....That should certainly be enough to finance ANY program we want to implement in the next couple years...
