The Dems 100 hour agenda is brilliant..
Of course it can't cover every pet issue, but it certainly covers the issues that will draw Americans away from the dark side.

It hit me as brilliant when I just saw Wolf Blitzer's big TV wall listing all the bullet points in one place along with the Dem takeover countdown clock. America has a completely different feel today, and it's so obvious and clear that I think people will take notice and get on board.

:toast: Democratic "popular" majority!

1. Here's the agenda. I wish them luck! Some won't be a problem, but some....
Six in ’06 agenda became “The First 100 Hours,” a list of seven somewhat more specific policy proposals that the new House leadership hopes to pass within the first 100 hours of the session. The incoming majority promises to:

“Break the link between lobbyists and legislation” and enact to pay-as-you-go budgeting (PAYGO);
Implement the recommendations of the 9/11 Commission;

Raise the minimum wage;

Allow the government to “negotiate” prices in the Medicare Part D drug benefit and use any savings to fill the benefit’s “doughnut hole” gap in coverage;

Halve the interest rate on student loans;

Raise taxes on oil companies to “achieve…independence;”

Preemptively resolve to oppose personal accounts in Social Security<2>

3. I-R-A-Q
Nothing wrong with the 100-hour agenda, but Iraq is the 800-pound gorilla in the room.

Democrats will not be permitted to appease Bush!

On January 27 there is going to be a march against the Iraq War on Washington organized by United for Peace and Justice. Each day we delay stopping the war, is a day in which more names will be added to a future Iraq war memorial.

Welcome to 1972!
