This is pure speculation on my part...

But something is not making sense about the Negroponte "demotion". I do not think it was voluntary. I think perhaps he was brought into the camp to replace Condileezza Rice. I think something finally pushed Rice over the edge?

Last weekend, Condi Rice was with the rest of the Bush junta at a "non-decision" meeting in Crawford, Texas. I think Condi saw something that made her physically sick. She saw a President totally obsessed with the execution of Saddam Hussein. There has been a total breakdown in the leadership of this White House.

It started downhill with the Woodward report of Gerald Ford's opposition to Bush's war. Bush has threatened to fire everyone - including all his generals in Iraq. Someone called Poppy Bush to report the critical situation with his son. Poppy Bush called the one person that he trusted to guard America's secrets during this critical time - John Negroponte.

Then I saw a scroll of a news report this evening on MSNBC. It went by very quickly. However, it said that Bush was in contact with Maliki during the entire hanging of Saddam and "pressured" Maliki to speed up the execution. The report was attributed to the London Times. Something is askew with this White House and we are not being told about it.

I repeat, this is pure speculation on my part...

1. You noticed her face in that new conference, too?
I thought something was really bugging her or she was royally pissed off at all of them
I never saw that look before and was thinking something was off.

2. Condi is leaving...
She can take more of this madman. The hanging pushed her over the edge.

3. you could well be right . . .
That news scroll is very telling. I never believed that Chimpy slept through the execution.

This much is surely true--they are liars. Every last one of them.

5. The only possible problem with this reasoning . . .
. . . is that it assumes condi has ethics and a heart. I jus don't know.

10. Remember Karla Fay Tucker?
When B*sh was governor of Texas, he openly mocked her pending execution. He seemed to really get off on it. If Condi didn't know about that, she must have had her head pretty far up her own ass.

7. Good knack for observation, Kentuck
--- I agree that "something is up," but I hadn't narrowed it down to Condi.

8. if you could find what that item per Bush and Maliki's contact
during the hanging - it would be great to juxtapose that with the media stories about "bush going to bed" as if it was no big deal to him.

11. I noticed at the funeral service at the National Cathedral she really
had a distinct frown, sat alone, I did not see her speaking with others. I noted Chelsea Clinton completely ignored her when she arrived, maybe that's what annoyed Rice. I agree with all of you though, somethings in the air.
