FOX News Banner On Nancy Pelosi: 100 Hours To Turn America Into San Francisco
Sean Hannity was full of predictably peevish partisanship last night (1/4/07) on Hannity & Colmes as he made the ludicrous claim that the Democratic agenda of raising the minimum wage and combating global warming “because they have spent way too much time watching Al Gore’s new DVD” was out of step with America. But two FOX News banners were unusually biased, even by FOX News standards.

I have a feeling "San Francisco Speaker" is going to be with us for a long time.

2. so that whole 'respect' thing they've been preaching for the past six years
can be pretty well debunked with current examples.

Here's the thing: the debate needs to be framed on this 'patriotism' thing right now, once and for all. The truth is that is was a bogus agrument designed only to enrage and distract. It needs to be called that now, while it's still fresh in the public's mind.

4. Respect only applies to Repuglycan
Repug presidents must be worshipped. Democratic presidents must be impeached.

Repug Speakers must be revered. Democratic Speakers must be ridiculed.

Repug Congresscritters must be portrayed as loyal citizens doing everything they can to strengthen and improve the country.
Democratic Congresscritters must be portrayed as evil traitors doing everything they can to tear down and destroy the country.

Nightline had a thing last night on Rangel, Pelosi and the lame attempt of the GOP to scare people with the "spectrum of San Francisco" Rangel called it one of the stupidest waste of money.

Then again. I like San Fran.

Nice town.

Generally clean and friendly.

What's wrong with San Fran?

Oh wait...it has the massive epidemic of "the gay", no?

12. Fox is disappointed because republicans were turning the US into Nazi
Germany, and now their hopes are dashed. "Springtime for Bushler" will not become a reality now that a democrat is Speaker of the House.

I don't much like cities, but San Francisco is a pretty cool place as far as cities go.

14. Yay! Let's hope it's true...
We love it here: The gay neighborhoods are just gorgeous, with the painted Victorians and great landscaping. Everyone who might be marginalised or disenfranchised in other cities is totally welcome here--and while it would be a naive lie to say there's no racism, most neighborhoods aren't drawn along racial or ethnic lines and most of us work and live in totally diverse places.

Health is totally celebrated (although New York beat us out with the banning of trans-fats) we were the second city after Los Angeles to ban smoking in all public places, and every time I leave here, I really notice the pinched, pasty people that stink like tobacco.

So if Nancy can bring some of those San Francisco Values to the rest of the country, they'll be better off because of it!

PS: Barbara Boxer is also from the Bay Area (Marin County) and Feinstein lives here as well (although she's pretty much a DINO--at least she's not quite a Lieberman or Miller). So 2 senators and one Speaker of the house--all women. We must be doing something right!

still part of America. Why, why, why would anyone watch this propaganda and America bashing POS cable news channel. And they say liberals hate America.
