Crist may boot some tapped by Bush

Jeb Bush was a busy man up to the end of his term. A bit too busy, perhaps.

By the middle of next week, Gov. Charlie Crist is expected to dismantle a small part of the Bush legacy when he cancels some of Bush's late-term appointments.

Mark it down as the start of cutting the umbilical cord.

Crist won't say exactly how many Bush picks are in peril. "There's quite a number, I think," he said. "We're not sure yet. I have to make that decision over the weekend."

The big question in Florida political circles is: Who is headed for the chopping block?

3. I can't recall what it was - but at some point during his campaign
it seemed like he was trying to stake out his own space - independent of "Jeb!" - perhaps that was true?

5. I would bet
that this isn't the Indiana you remember - weather - and... with a frickin' dem majority congressional representation! (I just can't say that enough times!)

:hi:

It is hopeful if Crist sees "Jeb!" as toxic. Not as hopeful if he had lost to the dem - but hopeful that the worst of the bush era will not be repeated - at least to the same extent.
