Is there any Kanye West/Barak Obama connection?
Both were upper middle class from Chicago. Are they in anyway connected? Think Kanye would help with the campaign?

I think he along with many others in pop culture could be huge assets for Obama.

1. Obama didn't grow up in Chicago
I'm not sure if you were alluding to that or not. Kanye grew up in Chicago. Anyway, I know Obama and Ludacris are tight, but I haven't heard about him and Kanye knowing each other.

9. Kanye produced for Ludacris before he started rapping himself.
The Ludacris hit "Stand up" was produced by Kanye.

Barack Obama wins Grammy for Best Spoken World Album

US Senator Barack Obama (ber-AHK' oh-BAH'-muh) can add Grammy-award winner to his resume after winning in the Best Spoken Word category.

Obama won for his readings of the autobiographical "Dreams From My Father." The book was first published in 1995 but became a best seller as Obama became a rising political star.

The memoir examines race and racial identity.

Obama beat out Garrison Keillor, Al Franken, Sean Penn and George Carlin to win. He joins fellow Democrats Hillary and Bill Clinton in grabbing the trophy.

When Obama's nomination was announced last year, his spokesman quipped that "there is no truth to the rumor that the senator will now go by the name 'The Artist, formerly known as Barack Obama."

Kayne West also won a Grammy at the same time (2005) ~~

3. Both have the ability to think clearly.
By the way, I think "Kanye" West spells his front name C-o-r-n-e-l-l Cornell West.

6. Yes-Cornel.
I misspelled it-added an "l"

However, if anyone wants to find out about him, just google cornel west.

And yes, it's pronounced con-yay.

11. As far as I can tell is that they both lived in Chicago at one point and they're both black
But lots of black folk in Chicago don't know each other. :-)
