Watching Iraq, I'm reminded of a stalemate in chess
We have vastly more pieces on the board than the Iraqis have, yet skillful in-politicking by the Iraqis and wildly optimistic belief that the divine power of... fairy dust, perhaps? will guide us to victory has slammed us into a stalemate that Bush is too stubborn to admit exists. The Iraqis can't admit a stalemate because it's THEIR country, and Bush WON'T admit a stalemate because his dick (or legacy) might wilt.

I think it looks like the Evans-Reshevsky stalemate pictured here, on the left. Bush can keep wandering that rook on G7 back and forth until he Jesus comes, checking the Iraqis again and again, yet never achieving victory.

Except that each time he moves the rook (troop surge/plus-up/escalation), a hundred Americans and ten thousand Iraqis die.

2. How easy would it be to get a Fool's Checkmate playing against Bush?

3. A failure to look at the whole board before deciding
upon any moves. Or simply ----- A Simple Failure.

4. One should not "play" any games, if one doesn't know how.....
Bush doesn't know how to play chess or checkers; picking his nose may be the only game he knows all of the rules to......and so, it goes!
