Dear friends,

This past Thursday, Senator Patrick Leahy introduced the War Profiteering Prevention Act of 2007, which will impose stiff fines (double gross profits!) and prison terms (20 years!) on war profiteers. He is the new chairman of the Senate Judiciary committee, so we'll be seeing some action on this pronto.

This is a direct result of your extraordinary efforts around "Iraq for Sale: The War Profiteers." Thousands of you came together to support the film when it was just an idea, and without you it never would have happened, and this bill probably wouldn't exist.
