Following the 110th Congress

In another thread, someone asked if there was a website that tracked the legislative accomplishments of the 110th Congress. Someone mentioned Thomas, but looking up stuff over a huge website can be a pain. Another mentioned a possible forum. Of course, if there is one, it won't be immediate. So I decided to create a thread that people can post in and follow developments on what's passed and what's pending. Please link to the text of bills if possible and basic info: who's sponsoring, from what committee, and so on.

What I'm following: minimum wage stuff and the investigations. I'm very hopeful that this Congress will go a long way towards healing America by their hard work and their oversight.

One thing to remember is what I feel is ironic for the Republicans now that they are in the minority: the effects of the K Street Projects. Because the Republicans so handled things with a scorched earth approach, they have few levers to really hold over the Democrats. Democrats don't need the money as much, and since they were so shut out of the process, there is almost no hook they can use as far as shared responsibility is concern.

So we have the power, instead.
