3. My picks:
House

1. Oversight & Government Reform - Rep. Henry Waxman (CA)
2. Ways & Means - Rep. Charles Rangel (NY)

Senate

1. Armed Forces Committee - Sen. Carl Levin of Michigan.
2. Select Committee on Intelligence - Sen. Jay Rockefeller of West Virginia.

These 4 are going to be immediate nightmares for the GOP. A veritable dozen Iraq hearings are on the way!

9. Boy you are are so so so so wrong....
I'm picking House Judiciary just because it's John Conyers and he was hosting hearings back when he was the ranking democrat and had to use a broom closet to host hearings on things like the Plame leak, faulty war intelligence and the DSM. Of course no republicans showed up.

10. Conyers deserves praise for that but...
Waxman is going after Iraq War money right away and Rangel is going to be tremendously important now that pay-go passed and the last Congress only passed 1 part of the budget (defense).

So Conyer's isn't a bad pick, but my money isn't on him making the big splash unless John Paul Stevens dies (Dear God, please keep this wonderful man alive for two more years.)

7. He looked really good on This Week last Sunday.
Calm, measured, and deliberate. Even more so than Rangel and Waxman.
