Since they have already passed the Pay-Go legislation, it is required that any new spending be paid for by cuts or increases in taxes? Why are they not mentioning this??

1. It's a SPLURGE of military lives and taxpayer dollars, not a "surge,"
no matter how they spin it.

2. This is an excellent point.
WHERE is the money going to come from? Bush will have to explain before going forward.

The mere sound of George Bush's voice irritates the hell out of me. I have to change the channel most of the time, I just can't stand to hear him, and the sight of him on TV or in the paper or on the Internets is a major annoyance as well, unless it's some goofy image of him doing something stupid, which of course most of them are.

3. Good question.
My guess is that just because legislation passes, in most cases it doesn't start immediately. Lots of paperwork, you know. ;)

4. I think Bush does have 10 days to veto it ?
The Congress may be holding off on this for a couple of weeks??
