Carlson Calls Ted Kennedy 'Hostile Enemy'
Fox News' Gretchen Carlson equated Sen. Ted Kennedy, D-MA., with insurgents killing American soldiers in Iraq during a segment Wednesday (January 10, 2007) on Fox and Friends. With video.

In her interview with White House Counselor Dan Bartlett regarding George Bush's upcoming speech on sending more troops to Iraq, Carlson also managed to call Iraq an enemy of the U.S.

Seguing to Kennedy's speech to the National Press Club, Carlson said, "Dan, you talk about a hostile enemy obviously being Iraq, but hostile enemies right here on the home front."

Bartlett responded that the administration considered Kennedy a long-time critic of the war, but not a hostile enemy.

Amazing revelation of how Carlson really feels about Iraq, as well.

5. This kind of rhetoric is disgraceful.
It has been going on for over 20 years now. It's so over the top that it's embarrassing.

6. If someone asked me to name a hostile enemy to the American people,
I would tell them George Bush/Dick Cheney/Condoleeza Rice, etc.

They are the ones creating so many of the problems we have today. They are lying to us, spying on us, spending our tax money like there's no end to it, allowing terrorists to attack due to their irresponsible policies, destroying our reputation and good will around the world, allowing big business to strong arm us, and then they tell us we're not patriotic if we question their actions.

That sounds like a hostile enemy to me.

7. Isn't giving someone the moniker of "Hostile Enemy", etc.
encouraging another person with "issues" to target that malligned person for assassination? Dallas had a "Wanted" poster of JFK before November, 1963, or how about the website that displayed the photos, names, and addresses of physicians who perform/performed abortions with a strong hint to take them out as they were criminals for murdering "babies". This is no different as far as cause and effect.
