I mean, come on...

We all knew back in December that the Bush Administration had pretty much pronounced the Iraq Commission DOA...

We all knew that Bush was going to call for an escalation of the war almost before the votes were counted on Election Day...

So why does the President wait almost two full months before announcing his Surge projection...

Simple, to prick the political balloon of the democrats and shift the agenda away from domestic politics, which is anathema to the Bush bunch but a potential political gold mine for the democrats...

Bush's only support comes from the hardcore war at any cost wing of the US electorate and he knows full well that the media is going to jump all over the speech and the war and forget all about Pelosi’s 100 hour push...

And what about Somalia... Why wait until the night before the big speech to launch an attack on alleged Al-Qaeda cells in that war torn tragedy of a country...

If this doesn't prove the Bush administration is nothing but a cold calculating bunch of political power hungry maniacs, I don't know what else does...

And if this doesn't prove once and for all that the Media, as it is now composed, is enamored more with the picture than the story...
