Yikes! Bad Polling News For Bush. Final Death Spiral Begun?
Say what you will about Rasmussen - but they poll daily, and seem to do a good job at measuring what they purport to measure. Their election predictions are certainly excellent.

According to today's Rasmussen results, Bush's approval rating has dropped from 44% to 39% in a single day, which is HUGE. And it's actually even more dramatic than it would seem at first, because the poll is a three-day rolling average, which tends to smooth bumps.

Methinks that Mr. Bush's "hey - it's your kids, not mine" Iraq escalation has started his final death spiral - I expect that the Republicans will soon start the impeachment gears moving (yes the Republicans - they don't want this rotting albatross around their neck).

6. 2004 election was "Pyhrric Victory" for Bush
Edited on Thu Jan-11-07 12:50 PM by butlerd
I have long since observed that the 2004 Presidential election seems to have ended up being a rather "Pyhrric victory" for Bush et. al since everything for Bush/GOP (i.e. Iraq, Katrina, Social Security, Schiavo) seems to have fallen apart since the aftermath of the election. So much for his vaunted "political capital" and "mandate." It's depressing to think of all the things that Kerry could've done (better) or might not done at all had he ended up being elected. OTOH it's probably a good thing he didn't get stuck with Bush's rotting corpse of his Iraq policy.
