2. Rice is a condescending witch
"Of course it's not open-ended." As if that's been the policy all along and you're so stupid for asking.

She's a disgrace.

3. That part blew me away, too the way he rattled off all the Iraqi names
and everything as if he were talking about Smiths and Johnsons. Wow, he was great.

24. heh....good one...condiscension sure fits the bill. This time she was definitely more
frightened and it showed, so her condescension got wittled down quite a bit as the grilling continued.

22. From that sulk, looked like she was just back from a whoopin' out in the Dem 'wood shed.'
Ever see her THAT moody and 'down' before? I haven't.

Sure, when she spoke, that same vomit of her lies still spewed WITH familiar arrogance. But she DID look REAL 'down.' And face it, non-verbal's have it any day over verbal crap.

7. I already was amazed at the hearing yesterday
When he questioned O'Hanlon and the other panel members yesterday he used all these names of the different militia groups and Iraqi leaders without hesitating a second. I think there is no other Senator who knows the whole situation in Iraq as well as Kerry does.

10. well, in fairness to others, they haven't been keyed into the region to the extent
Kerry has been since the mid 80s and his uncovering of IranContra and BCCI. And his 1997 book The New War was all about global terrorism.

Too bad the corpmedia ignored so much about Kerry that MATTERED in favor of lies that were easily disproved by the actual records. If the media had ANY interest whatsoever in truth we'd have heard more of it, but the truth doesn't serve their corporate masters and their friends at BushInc, does it?

25. add together the "what ifs"
of the TWO stolen elections, and the situation we are in is just absolutely beyond comprehension. Either of our guys has like 1000 times the capacity as shrub, and yet that is what the country did, at the behest of the machine that holds all the cards. between manipulating voters, manipulating vote counts, and manipulating the counting process, it just said "I win; you lose"

anybody wonder what the dinosaurs felt like just as the comet hit? like "holy crap, we thought if we did our chores and played nice then life would be good - who changed the rules? - where the hell did THIS world come from?"

14. heh...did you see him question her when she was nominated? Nailed her to the floor
and beyond, but corpmedia pretended she handled it with ease and said NOTHING about her failure to answer the questions.

21. ha--she always looks like that when Kerry grills her!
She gets this flippant look on her face and calls him SEN-ator in the most haughty way. She hates him because he's got her pegged--she can't fool him.

26. Oh, you have to see the Boxer segment.
She brought up the fact that one service member came home in two urns and a coffin. I didn't notice that that gruesome fact stirred Rice to anything resembling humanity, but it was good that Boxer at least set it forth right in front of the world.

about sending more American's to Iraq and Condi just frowned like one would thing Cheney defected!

17. It was Senator Kerry "sparring" with Condi Rice
I also recommend watching Hagel, also available at the link. There's a moment when he compares the situation with Cambodia, and says quite pointedly, that "there are some of us here who understand EXACTLY what that means". Powerful -- three Vietnam vets on that committe -- Kerry, Hagel, and Webb.

18. He certainly speaks with knowledge on the subject.
That's probably because he was just in Iraq where he actually went out and talked to troops on the ground (instead of hiding in the green zone) and met with Middle Eastern leaders.

I'm always impressed that Senator Kerry actually KNOWS what he's talking abouot rather than clicking off a number of talking points like some other politicians (particularly the ones who kneel at the altar of the elephant). He is able to intelligently discuss the issues because he knows the facts that pertain to the situation. Issues and facts: imagine! This just serves to remind me how much I've missed having a reality-based government and media.
