Patriotic conservatives testy about the exposure of their lack of sacrifice
Edited on Fri Jan-12-07 02:47 PM by BOSSHOG
Thanks to great american Barbara Boxer in giving Condi something to think about. She's not giving a son or a daughter for a lie. Neither is limbaugh but wow, panties are in a wad today. How dare anyone ask conservatives to sacrifice their life or a loved one's life for george bush's lies and failures. That's just so outrageous. Why is asking a conservative in a position of power or with access to a microphone to provide a loved one to die for bush's war such a big deal. Hell, more die in car wrecks. And many Americans who don't get killed come home and lie about having PTSD. Just ask any "conservative" pun-dit!

1. Hell, how dare you ask conservatives/Repukes to make ANY sort of
sacrifice in this time of war? Oh, wait, they had to sacrifice the taxes they've been paying ... you know, they've been forced to accept tax cuts ... boo hoo hoo ...

2. I think we've discovered their Achilles Heel.
They're impotent in the defense of our claim that theirs is not a direct sacrifice.

...O...

3. See how they twist things
Barbara Boxer said that she had no children or grandchildren of an age to fight in Iraq and she was not making those sacrifices and she added that rice had no children of an age to make a sacrifice. Suppose she had been talking to someone else who had children and none were of the age to fight. So what's the big deal.

4. I thought Boxer phrased it very well.
Boxer pointed out that she had no one in the fight before addressing Condi's status! Waaa cry me a river fox!

5. You know what
I think the right has way underestimated how PISSED America is. Last night at the sportsman's club No-one had a good thing to say about pissypants. This is huge from mostly Repug and mostly veterans. Boy I had a great time last night. A few guys even said they should have listened to me a long time ago. Impeachment looks immanent.

13. Reminds me of a
joke I heard recently. A man was standing in a checkout aisle behind a mouthy woman with two children approximately 2 and 6 and they were snotty, backsassing little brats. Momma was berating them loudly, The man asked her if they were twins. The woman said, of course not, can't you tell they are different ages. The man said I just would be very surprised to think you got laid twice.

12. I agree with you generally Boss -
But many "conservatives" agreed with us "liberals" from the beginning just how stupid this war was.

At least principled ones did.

You know the estimated costs for psych care for these kids is estimated at 700 billion dollars - almost a trillion dollars just for mental health - It is so staggering.

These people that turned out as war "cheerleaders" - I think are so dangerous. They clearly have no idea at all what they "cheer" for.

And I think Boxer did really well, too.

Best to you,

Joe

14. You are right Joe
there are true conservatives in this country that have no philosophical ties whatsoever to the bush administration, and the conservative movement in America has been kidnapped by a very cancerous political strain. Cheerleaders is a very good way to describe them, standing on the side and yelling memorized shouts while not getting on the field and getting dirty. I'd be proud to have Boxer as my Senator. I'll trade ya trent lott and throw in 3 state senators for her.
