WASHINGTON, Jan 13 (Reuters) - President George W. Bush acknowledged
on Saturday that some of his administration's decisions during the Iraq war
had contributed to instability there but he still believed he was right to topple
Saddam Hussein.

Insisting it was crucial to U.S. interests to get the sectarian violence in Iraq
under control, Bush told CBS in an interview that the strife there was a
destabilizing force in the Middle East that "could lead to attacks here
in America
."

Pressed on whether actions by his administration had created further instability
in Iraq, Bush said, "Well, no question, decisions have made things unstable."

But he added, "My decision to remove Saddam Hussein was the correct decision
in my judgment."

4. But removing Saddam was his decision, and the correct one- in his judgement anyway.
So what does that mean in his little pea-brain? His decided that Saddam needed to be removed from power, but whatever transpired to make that happen was neither his decision nor responsibility?

Typical business management visionary complex. :eyes:

3. The "Yeah, but..." rationale. This idiot will go to his grave denying responsibility
for anything in his miserable, silver spoon inspired, lush filled lifetime.

6. But did you notice?
He said the mistakes were "letting the Iraqi government do this and that..."
The man is physically incapable of admitting a reality.

7. It should read "his" decision. He decided. Not the US.

8. Ultimate incompetence
At the VERY LEAST the consequences we're seeing now should have been anticipated in advance of a US invasion.

But of course they didn't think in terms of potential failure of "PLAN A." :spank:
