What do you think should be the key message the Dem nominee conveys
and how does your choice of '08 presidential candidate convey that message?

This is a variation of the other post on the front page asking people who their favorite candidate is. I want to get beyond simply asking people to name their favorite person. I want to see what people think the important issues and messages should be that Democrats convey through the choice of a nominee. Then I want to see how people think their first choice conveys those messages and issues.

1. to me, the key message should be to eliminate the Corporate rule
if America and givethe Country back to the people! I realize that's a very general statement, but it covers almost all the issues I can think of, including the Military Industrial Complex!

As to a favorite candidate, I feel it's way too soon to say. All we've really heard from the candidates so fariswho has declared and who has formed an exploratory committee!

7. That's it right there. The whole thing. People Before Corporations. Return The Commonwealth.
Which candidate will be the Populist to stand up to the Corporatists?

2. The most important job of the Congress is to shape up the voting
procedures so that the person who deserves to win does win. The most important thing for any candidate is to be serious about global warming. Time is running out. Nothing else will matter if America does not start leading in this fight. We consume 25 % if the world's resources with 5% of the world's population.

4. That he respects citizens enough to tell the TRUTH and will share the information that
has been closed off to them by past administrations looking to protect themselves more than the nation.

Anti-corruption, open government is what this nation needs after decades of corruption and coverups. That corruption and the coverups led this nation right into 9-11 and this Iraq war.

No more secrecy and privilege.

8. I don't believe the *she* involved in the race is an anti-corruption, open government
lawmaker. The past Dem president wasn't. That didn't work out well in the longterm view for this country, did it?
