G.W.B. has once again redefined "success" in Iraq.

I don't get cable news, but I do watch the PBS newshour. When asked this evening what would define "success" in Iraq, G.W.B. replied:

"A government that can provide security for its people."

The words "democratic government" never occured in the interview.

6. The imperial "We" struck me as

extrememly telling of how the idiot feels about "us". When he spoke of himself, he used the third person. He refered to himself as "the president". What`s with that???

7. okay - "spreading 'security' across the globe"

a) doesn't have the same 'ring' to his followers as the democracy line; and b) almost noone can begin to think that was is being spread in Iraq is "security".

Very stupid attempt to shift the conversation/rationalization - and it won't sell.

All Bush ever said about "success" and "victory" was lofty platitudes, stuff that could easily be thrown in someone's face, yet mean nothing ...
