Why should the Democrats have a single, broadly supported plan?

The Republics don't.

There's Bush's 'plan' (which would be a joke were it not actually implementable at the say-so of a psychopath).

But what's the Republic plan? They *never* had one - unless you count weilding the Great Rubber Stamp as a plan.

What we have, instead, are series of 'plans'.

Name a politician and s/he has a plan. Some are very similar. Some are well meaning. Some are made of nothing more than pure political calculus. Some, like McCain's, are out in left field. But if you want 'plans' you have the overwhelming task of choosing one from the hundreds that are out there.

This whole damn "Dems don't have a plan" is Rovian crap being catapulted by the Three Monkey Media.

I'm sure you know this, too. What gets me even more than that the meme exists is that even now, as our people get more face time on teevee, NO ONE calls this meme for the crap that it is.

they have no idea what the heck to do. If we put forth something, it would be theirs if it worked and ours if it fell flat. 7. Agreed. The new * plan is not a plan. It is more of the same. It is an

escalation plain and simple. Dems need to point out that the pukes have screwed the pooch so badly that there really is nothing that can be done other than bringing our guys and gals home. Murtha's plan is about as good as it's going to get. Move them to the borders, move them into Kuwait and surrounding areas. Hell, move them into Afghanistan where they can do some good and will be close enough to redeploy if necessary. Anything is better than "embedding" them for house to house searches in the streets and alleyways of Baghdad.

8. There IS no plan

And why should there be? It's simple enough to realize that the Iraq venture was a mistake from start to finish, so there can be no plan for success. It isn't rocket science. The only plan is to get out of Iraq and let the Iraqis dicide for themselves what's best for their country. It's their country, not ours.

Bush & his minions are the ones who need to be held responsible for their own mistakes. This "What's the Democrats' plan?" stuff is just their way of passing off their problems onto us.
