question:
Is it because the Christian holy day, is more holy than the Jewish Sabbath?
Georgia Governor Sonny Perdue and Christian coalition leader Sadie fields, who both oppose Sunday beer sales, are either ignorant of their own Christian doctrine or, they are knowingly trying to continue enforcement of a Christian observance (Sunday) on all Georgians-including Jews and non Christians. . Sunday is not the Sabbath; it is the first day of the week when Jesus rose from the tomb. Thus, Sunday is called the Lord's Day in the New Testament-not the Sabbath. . The Sabbath is the Old Testament day of rest, which begins at sundown Friday and continues until sun down Saturday.
Why not prohibit the sale of beer and wine on the Sabbath day instead of the uniquely Christian "Lord’s Day"? (Sunday)
No other religion except Christianity designates Sunday as its day of worship-thus when a state enforces sunday observances, they are establishing a specific religion-rather than including all religions.
The Christian Coalition says they don’t want to legislate their specific religion but, their actions suggest otherwise.
