Edited on Fri Jan-19-07 06:48 PM by KoKo01
So if one wants to go with an "even steady hand" why not give Gore a chance...he can always put "The Clintons" in prominent DLC positions in his Administration...AND...a plus is that Gore is more IN TUNE with the YOUTH and OLDIES.

Gore just seems the ULTIMATE FUSION CANDIDATE! He's got us "Lefties" with "Grudgies" from 2000...and appeals to the Youth with his "An Inconvenient Truth" and Bill and Hillary have the "nostalgia factor" given what the Country has gone through with the Bushies and their sychophants for YEARS with their COLD WAR MENTALITY.

So...my post is about "urging Gore to run" and figuring he can include the DLC'ers and we can all make peace somehow.

A COMPROMISE..but with Gore Leadership and "Moral Conscience" counteracting the DLC Clintons...we might just reach a "GRAND COMPROMISE!"

What do you think?

1. I think Gore says he is not running. If he IS running he should be honest and say so.
if he wants everyone to beg and plead for him to run....ugh who needs him?

he would be my first choice but he oughta get some integrity and have a formal conference where he states unequivocally that
he IS NOT RUNNING and tell everyone to get over it.

or he should say he IS running. sheesh

6. Can you explain what you meand about Gore's lack of "integrity?"
I have to say...of all the criticisms of GORE ..."lack of integrity" has NOT BEEN one that I've heard.

 Maybe I'm out of the loop...

10. if he is running, say so with absolute finality and quit the dancing around
integrity is about being what you say you are and meaning it.

this does not mean he has no integiry in a multitude of areas, but in this he ought (****) or get off the pot.

like say, NO NO NO NO never or I am thinking about it as a possibility.

if yer gonna say no, mean it.

that's what I mean by integrity.

31. It's 2007. The POT doesn't even become available until next year.
Honestly, the only people paying attention to the primaries now are us political junkies. Al is being VERY VERY canny by waiting until a bit later in the cycle to make up his mind. Conserve your strength, grasshopper. :bounce:

3. Gore is more concerned with an Oscar. If he wants to run, he'll get in
but, I've heard he has zero set up for a run. I thinnk he's flattered and that's why he hasn't made a definite statement but, he has no intention of running.
I had hoped for it. I was ready to back him and hoped like everything he'd get in. I realized this late summer he was not going to do so.
I would love a Gore run. The White House is his. But, I don't think his heart is in that direction anymore.

7. Gore was TRASHED by Repugs and the DLC DEMS...and now you say he's "Gone Hollywood?"
OMG! This guy was ELECTED...and the Bushies did an assault on HIM..and if nothing else you've learned the way the Repugs do Assaults is what got us into IRAQ!!!

You think Gore went HOLLYWOOD...He's seeking "another way" besides MSNBC/CNN to RUN!

30. It has nothing to do with a diss. For documentaries, only the producers get the
awards. (Even in Best Picture, only the producers get the Oscars.)

4. Gore would be wise to stay where he is at...
he can do a lot of good and avoid diminishing himself by placing in the bottom half in the primaries.

5. Yeah, but
Gore doesn't have any kind of campaign staff setup, and there's kind of three (Christ, Richardson's blowing up, so probably four) major candidates creating campaigns as we speak. If he wants space in a crowded room, he best start throwing elbows now.

9. Some here might not know the VALUE of "Dark Horse" Insurrgent?
and Gore (who will NOT RUN if he's trashed by Corporate Media). His TIME WILL COME! He doesn't need to get into "Horse Race Corporate Media Owned Runs."

He's doing "HIS OWN THING." But...he does want to be President...but he WILL NOT "RUN." (In the traditional sense of the word).

13. Man on a dark horse
I don't mean the "media circle jerking over a hypothetical race that doesn't even start to ramp up until November", I mean with four serious contenders in the race, endorsements, fundraisers, major players, ect., ect.,ect. are going to start to go quick. Al Gore travels in the same circles as a lot of these people. He's gosta start now.

17. There's NOTHING LIKE getting the "Young Folks" Involved to the issues of today than Al Gore is doing
He's very "comfortable where he is, right now" but Gore's father was the "Ultimate Politician" and he's a cousin to Gore Vidal who is so CYNICAL that folks today (young folks) don't even want to READ HIM!

34. Boston Globe, Jan 16th
Another Democratic source says that in recent weeks, the former vice president's camp has quietly put out feelers to presidential politicos, asking whether they are committed for 2008.

AMERICA really IS the TITANIC...sinking on the "Ice flow" of Iraq..with a "renegade P-Residency STOLEN!

So which "CAPTAIN OF THE SHIP" would you choose?

And if you "buy into Economy is Great....then would you choose the CLINTONS without GORE as the RUDDER?

32. Amazing the MSM's "Wooden Al Gore" while tonight they are Pumping Mitt Romney
for his "silken head of hair" and "Corporate Preppy Image." Wasn't Romney responsible for the "BIG DIG" that Fiasco in Boston where he lent out "favors" to corporate contractors and the work was "more than shoddy" it was abominable and the "Dig" had been crashing on top of heads of Bostonians because of his "favors" to Corporate Buddies? He sounds much like Bush-Chimp in rewarding those who got him (them) into power.
