Matthews says it will be tough for Dems to beat Romney in 2008
Essentially because he has "the right look, right jaw, right hair, and right background."

Granted, I am a straight male, but I've never understood where the whole Romney being attractive idea came from. The guy just looks like a moron to me. Is there something I'm missing? Not to mention, Multiple Choice Romney's background is a mere 1 term as Governor before chickening out of running again for fear that Deval Patrick would beat him and hurt his Presidential chances. Not to mention, a large number of people say they would never vote for a Mormon as President. Not to mention, MCR has no foreign policy experience and no ideas of his own, he merely regurgitates everything the Repugs in D.C say. Guess Matthews forgot about all that :eyes:

<http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/16720167/> Video is on the right side.

13. As they said about Romney's Dad now applies to Tweety....
"You don't need to brainwash him, just a light rinse will do it."

I'm starting to think Tweety has a man-crush on Willard

5. Is he serious?
Romney will piss off the fundies with his Mormonism and political pandering to Massachusetts voters on social issues (since MA voter won't vote for a real fundie.) If won't get nominated. Out of the current "top three" of Republican candidates, McCain is the only one with a realistic shot of getting nominated, especially considering the Republican historical precedent of "it's my turn." At least in our party, Hillary will have to earn the nomination if she wants it.

I think he'll be "Mitt Romney (R-Utah)"

6. Romney is road kill. He is not going to survive the Republican
primaries, which are as xenophobic a gauntlet as you could possibly ask for.

Touting Romney's chances allows Matthews to seem edgy and hip, when most of his viewers won't remember anything he said 2 weeks from now, nevermind next January.

Giuliani, McCain, and Romney all 3 lead the GOP poll pack, but all 3 have serious flip-flop issues that the other could easily exploit.

I believe Hagel has a better chance than Romney of being the GOP nominee.

Experienced, smart AND good looking! That should take care of Romney.....cause he is only Good looking, if that!

10. Tweety is a joke and an old fart. Who cares what he thinks? I don't.
I will never vote for a Repug. If the Democrats don't get it together, I would only consider an Independent if one materializes.

The anti-war candidate will be the winner. In that respect, Dennis Kucinich is the strongest one now.

11. I think I heard Chris say
the Dems now have two frontrunner Candidates who are long shots
at winning the presidency.

I think what Chris was really referring to in regards to Romney--
Some people take a general measure of candidates. Since there
are so many World Problems facing us--Which Candidate "looks"
as if she, he is ready to lead the country in times of peril???
Sadly, many people use superficial measures to judge the Candidate.
Mitt Romney(no matter what you think of him personally or his
abilty) looks like a president.

Do not forget--America chose GW because they were convinced they
liked him and he could be their friend, share a beer and watch
a ball game.

We will find it nearly impossible to beat Romney because there is close to zero chance that Romney will be the Refuglican nominee.

16. The fundies are our buddies for 2008...
They will make sure any moderate, middle-of-the-road Rethug gets iced in the primaries. By the time the Rapture-Ready Retards are finished, this is what the "moderate" (and I use that term liberally) Republicans will look like to GOP voters:

Romney -- some crazy cultist whose religion lets you have a lot of wives (hmm, sounds like them Muslims again). plus, he was the Governor of Taxachusetts.
Guliani -- The mayor of Soddom and Gamorrah
Pataki -- The Governor of greater Soddom and Gammorah

As for John "I'll blow ANYBODY to get elected" mcCain, I don't think the 3Rs will need to do anything. As long as he keeps drinking the Surge kool-Aid, even Repukes won't go for him. If he is nominated, it will be because nobody else wants it by then.

Thus, they'll probably end up handing the nomination to some Fundie-friendly fruitcake like Huckabee or Brownback who even Hillary will be able to beat in the fall.

17. Until I watched "Ahnold" in California
get elected and re-elected, I would have shared the thoughts
listed by some of you. The Righties and the Fundies will
not accept these Republicans. California's RW and I do
mean RW just got in there and with the blessing of
robertson, Dobson they pushed Schwarsennegger right over
the top. Those Righties and Fundies like being in power.
They throw the Moral Values to the wind when necessary.

Ahnold had enough "baggage" to sink a ship--Never you mind,
HE CAN WIN. This is the way it is with the Righties.

20. Tweety is a nutcase.
Who cares, he and all those so-called pundits spew bull.

CNN, MSNBC and Fox should all be shut down for the good
of the country. Replace them with Now and Frontline type
shows and raise the IQ of discussion.

Don't even get me started with those bimbo hosts who
know nothing and repeat the same drivel, day after day.
:argh:

Keith Olberman I would keep.:)
