It's WAY too early to get behind one person in 08 (X-post)
C'mon people, time, not to mention the electorate, is on our side.
All of our candidates are well-qualified to be President, any one
of them would win big time if the current political climate continues.

All we have to do is be Democrats-debate, fight it out among ourselves,
and in the end nominate a kick ass ticket-as Democrats must. Otherwise,
we'd be no better than the Rethugs.

Looking back in history, we have a once in a generation opportunity to
show the 33% undecided that the Democratic Party is the best choice. Let's
not blow it.

:patriot:

1. We've got a deep bench for sure
Hillary, Obama, Edwards, Richardson all show that the talent is on our side. I'm pleased that we've got such a good field of candidates. I really want to hear all of them before I make up my mind.

May the best person win! When that happens, we ALL will.

2. Good luck with that.
There are many, many here who have already picked their candidate and god forbid if you do not support that person or you do not prefer their choice. It's not going to be pretty.

5. Then once we are finished eviscerating and tearing apart our candidates
then we just let the Republicans finish the job. This is one aspect that I hate about being a Democrat--we eat our own.

This is a unique point in history. We do, indeed, live in interesting times!

4. I love herding cats ...

That's why I'm a Democrat. :-)

I couldn't agree more, for whatever little it's worth. I'll make my decision a couple months before I cast my vote. At this point, I don't even know who the potential candidates are, no matter how often people try to tell me this or that person will or won't run.

13. Franky is undecided ...
Edited on Sun Jan-21-07 12:30 AM by RoyGBiv
Franky, my cat, is not happy with the choices so far. None has offered a position statement that includes free catnip to no-income kitties whose people won't open a new budget item that accounts for supplying them with all they want.

So he's keeping his options open and will go with whoever he thinks might be open to such an idea. He'll stick to practical matters in the absence of any candidate working on his pet issue and support the candidate who, after some serious campaigning, seems most likely to keep his person in a position to be able to bring home the occasional catnip toy or, on good days, a bag of primo leaf that can be sprinkled on his bed for him to indulge.

15. Jade and Benita are pretty much in agreement
Except, Benita won't eat anything but Meow Mix-damn capitalist cat!
Jade will eat anything that doesn't eat her first! And she's in favor
of the program for low income kitties. No wonder they're always fighting!

14. A final comment-Will Rogers quote
"I belong to no organized political party, I'm a Democrat".

True then, true now. Goodnight DU!

I'd like to see him as the Republican competition.

unacceptable.
