Edited on Mon Jan-22-07 10:55 AM by Deep13
She's the only one with the fund-raising skills and political savy to take on the Rove machine. Frankly, I think the other two are a little flakey--great speakers but no real management experience to back it up. Obama in particular hasn't even finished his first term in the Senate.

Top choice: Bill Richardson.

7. John Edwards
Today John Edwards is the strongest of the candidates who already announced.

But I haven't lost hope that Al Gore will change his mind and enter the race sometime this fall, if he sees that enough people want him to run.

Let's all find ways to show our support for Al Gore!

In Gore We Trust

It would have to be Edwards. At least he's noticed what the problem is. The other two are oblivious and think corporations will solve everything.

Hillary is, well, Hillary and Obama will break our hearts. No way is this racist country going to put a black family in the white house. No matter how gifted.

On the race issue - while he may not strike many as "black" - his wife and kids will. This should not be a factor, but people are dreaming of a different America than the one in which we now live. I think he is putting himself and his young family in far greater peril than other candidates.

The "polls" may say otherwise - but once in the booth --- well, you know the story ala Harold Ford.

I pray for Gore, but will vote for anyone with viable creds other than Hillary or Obama at this point.

While I hope to have other choices in the primaries of those three I'd easily vote for Obama. He's demonstrated wisdom in being against the Iraq fiasco all along, proven his intelligence being the President of the Harvard Law Review, shown his commitment to average Americans as a civil right attorney and advocating for the poor in Chicago. Plus I can see him bringing people to the polls how tend to ignore politics.

I won't say I dislike either Edwards or Clinton but I'm not impressed them as Presidential candidates.

Followed by Edwards. Then probably the Republican unless the GOP nominates yet another whack job.

Ideologically my vote would be (in order):

Old Fashioned Liberal
Old Fashioned Conservative
Neo-Con
Neo-Lib

I give the Neo-Con an edge over the Neo-Lib because election of Neo-Libs makes the move Right bipartisan. I'd rather any move further Right be viewed as purely partisan. I also find the former Far Right claiming to be mainstream less dishonest than a Neo-Lib (Old Right) claiming to be Left.

83. Of the three, I prefer Obama.....
and if it was only those three running, Obama would not win the nomination because too many so called "progressives" would end up fulfilling the prophecy of making sure to cast their vote for someone else offering the "excuse" that Obama cannot win (same goes for Hillary)...although out of the three Obama actually is the better choice because although he and Edwards offer up some similar qualities (youth, hope, charisma), the Black guy has superior oratory, really did work for issues for the poor for a long time before having political aspirations and really did call the war dumb before it started rather than three years after the fact.

Obama is far too inexperienced for me, and Edwards is...just plain awful. I'd go for a third party or write-in before I'd vote for Edwards.

114. Obama or Hillary. Haven't yet made up my mind.
Edwards is after a possible Gore run in my opinion.

This will be an interesting primary nonetheless.
