Perle: 'Bush will attack if Iran gets nuclear arms'
President George Bush will order an attack on Iran if it becomes clear to him that Iran is set to acquire nuclear weapons capabilities while he is still in office, Richard Perle told the Herzliya Conference yesterday. Perle is close to the Bush administration, particularly to Vice President Richard Cheney.

He said that the present policy of attempting to impose sanctions on Iran will not cause it to abandon its nuclear aspirations, and unless stopped the country will become a nuclear power (translation: Bush is going to attack Iran).

Now they will start up with their, "prove the negative," crap we heard with Iraq. "Prove you don't have nukes."

1. know what bothers me is that Iran has already said they
will not use nuclear technology for weapons, it wouldn't stop these maniacs we have now to provoke another war, they believe in just escalation and the oil profits.

5. I think it goes deeper than oil
I believe that Bush won't want to let go of power after the presidential elections in 08. Starting a massive war in the middle east, and thats exactly what attacking Iran would do, will make Bush think he can cancel the elections due to, "national emergency." I truly believe they are stupid enough to attempt this. I cannot see any other reasoning behind their grabbing of more and more power over the last six years.

9. doesn't matter: the neocons have their foot in the door for world domination
and they ain't gonna pull it back out. They can smell it in their puny little brains.

therefore, no matter what it takes, who they have to prop up, regardless of party, they WILL have their world domination unless stopped.

Bush himself is like Ronald McDonald. Its who we see, but not who is making the decisions or hamburgers.

7. Bush will have to get an AUMF first.
That will not happen unless Bush can prove an immeadiate threat and all testimony about that threat will probably be made under oath.

12. You can count on first Israeli attack followed by US to finish the job
if there is clear evidence Iran has acquired Nukes.
Israel can not afford to gamble with their survival
after open declarations from Ahmedinejad to wipe Israel
off the map. US will be forced to back up Israeli strikes
in order to pre-empt retaliation by Iran on Israel.
