As the Chair of the Born Fighting PAC, I will be guided by three primary goals: reorienting our national security posture, bringing fairness back to our economic system, and developing greater accountability in government – and we’ll do so in part by supporting the entities and candidates that promote these platforms. Born Fighting PAC will allow us to provide early fundraising support to candidates who support these principles, ally with outside groups to lobby Members of Congress, and travel the country in support of Democratic candidates when the 2008 campaign season is fully underway.

Going forward, there is obviously much work to be done as we seek to re-orient our national security posture and to fix the out-of-control economic inequality that threatens the very nature of our country. Thankfully, the results of last November’s elections showed that the tide has clearly turned, and the new Democratic Congress gives us cause for optimism once again. All of this is thanks to the incredible support you showed during my successful run for the Senate. For that, you will always have my sincerest appreciation.

Now that the American people have placed Democrats in control of both the House and the Senate, it is time for us to lead on the critical issues facing our nation -- Iraq and economic fairness chief among them – and we will.

So please take a moment today to support Born Fighting PAC:

Make a contribution. Provide us the resources we need to fight for the issues and candidates to support our agenda.
Tell-a-friend about our organization. Help us continue to build our grassroots network.
Thank you again for your incredible support.

Sincerely,

Jim Webb

1. Well now maybe we can get more Democrats in locally
in Virginia. I think most of the Republicans are supported by Tom Davis' unofficial "Lobbyist in the Bedroom" pac.

Thank you, Mr. Webb. The Democrat who runs for the Congress from the 11th District looks forward to your support.

2. Thanks for posting this. I donated to his PAC. Senator Webb is a true hero to me,
and I will never forget his reply to bush after the callous "How's your boy" question.

6. And just think how many DIer's would have dissed Webb as a candidate
Edited on Mon Jan-22-07 05:31 PM by saracat
because he is a former Republican? This is a perfect example of what outreach and working together can acheive. Web is way to consevative for my thinking but I welcome him to our big tent! He was the right candidate for his state and had what it took to get elected! We need more Jim Webbs.

9. Yeah, unreal, just like what they did to Clark
his 'pedigree' was too purple for them. Not blue enough.

Pffffffffffffffffffft.

Fuck that noise.

11. Me too, and there unfortunately were ALOT of DUers
who pissed on Clark for his formal declaration of allegiance to the Democratic party in October or November of 2003. Evidently Arkansas doesn't require you to declare a party, so he was an "I" - once he joined the party the blue-blooded loyalists brought out the AK-47s on him and blasted him for not being a life-long Democrat. Stupid asses.
