CNN Debunks Obama "Madrassa" Story
you mean Fox News wasn't really "fair and balanced?" Hard to believe. They should seriously be ashamed.

http://www.cnn.com/2007/POLITICS/01/22/obama.madrassa/index.html

There's video of this story on the main CNN page- scary footage of little children happily playing outside in short pants while teachers in Western-style clothing look on.

3. No one has the story yet...

Both networks are on thin ice with this...here we go with these un-named sources and single source stories again....I want the press to get back to the basics and really do the work they used to do....

6. Umm, CNN sent an actual reporter to the school in Jakarta.
I know it seems hard to believe, but someone actually seems to have committed an act of investigative journalism.

4. They've got a poll over there.
Who do you think is behind false reports about Barack Obama's time at a Muslim school?
Right-wing opponents
Left-wing opponents

Right now it's at:
Right-wing opponents 68% 785 votes

Left-wing opponents 32% 373 votes

Apart from the unsourced claims of RWers that is?

As if Hillary would be stupid enough to corrupt the image of someone on her Veep short list.

10. Is there any evidence that she's not?
If the Republicans had the information and perceived Obama to be such a weak candidate, don't you think they would have waited to release the information? However, for Hillary her time to act against Obama is now to keep him from gaining ground.

14. Is there any evidence that it didn't come from you?
Or maybe it came from Obama's own campaign. Maybe he's trying to make himself look like a martyr while making Hillary look bad.

I think it's one of the cardinal rules of debate that you can't prove a negative.

24. I don't think for a minute that Hillary was behind it
but Mr Byron up there wants me to try to prove a negative. I was just trying to point out how fallacious that whole line of arguement is.

people just want to believe what they want to believe regardless of truth or reality.

Did ya know HRC puts live babies on spikes and drinks toilet water? I posted that earlier on DU so it must be true. Prove me wrong.

11. "Insight attributed the information in its article to an unnamed source
who said it was discovered by 'researchers connected to Senator Clinton.'"

And why did Insight believe the source? And why should we believe Insight? And what do they mean by "connected"--that the source and researchers work on the same block?

15. in politics, it doesn't have to be true.

it only has to be plausible to cause damage.

I am afraid Obama will have to put up with these baseless broadsides;
having never been in a national election, he has never been subject to
national media exposure. and the MSM will chase every little innuendo
that his opponents, left and right, leak.

and that was the difference between reporting the news, or just talking about it.
