CNN went to Indonesia to debunk Obama Madrasses School Story BUT
Edited on Mon Jan-22-07 11:33 PM by KoKo01
they couldn't waste time when Kerry was Swiftboated and they never miss a chance to repeat lies about Al Gore...when they even bother to notice him.

What is it about Obama that rates CNN sending a special reporter to Indonesia to track down that disgusting story put out by the "ususal suspects" and yet no other Dem has ever gotten that kind of special treatment.

And Obama was only 6 years old when he went to that school. John Kerry had veterans who served with him backing him up in the US and CNN nor NBC or any other media couldn't have been bothered to even report that the Swift Boat Liars were RW Hacks.

Why does Obama get this special treatment? I've been around long enough to know that it isn't because CNN has suddenly decided to be "fair and balanced." Something else is afoot.

1. "Hillary vs. Obama" - it's the race the JHS newspaper staff wants most
Edited on Mon Jan-22-07 11:15 PM by hatrack
That way, the Beltway Kool Kidz and the Press Corpse can keep them both in the running until the nomination. This will enable them to deliver months and months of horserace political "journalism" that approaches content-free status, even if it never quite gets there.

Once the nomination happens, the intrepid BKK & the Corpse will roll over and ask McCain/Giuliani/Romney/Whoever to scratch their tummies. After that, look for nothing but teeth and turds for the eventual Democratic nominee from our intrepid media "watchdogs".

2. It could be due to their own missteps with Obama the past month.
like putting bin landens pic with Obama's name under it, he dress like the iranian prez, ect. ect. It was several different things. I think with this going around they thought they could do like a penence thing

3. I don't know.
I'm just flabbergasted to see them doing any kind of journalism at all.

Despite the fact that CNN committed an act of investigative journalism on his behalf, I still like Obama. I guess maybe I'm just being had.

4. It could be because Obama's spokespeople have contacted Fox and told them

6. You think neither Kerry nor Gore's spokespersons contacted CNN
for the trash jobs they did on them? What about the trash job on Howard Dean? Didn't hear any CNN people doing "investigations" to track down where the liars were coming from. We had to do it here on the "internets."

Who are these strong spokespersons Obama has that neither Kerry, Gore nor Howard Dean had working on their campaigns. How come Obama's spokesperson has so much influence?

14. I'll believe that when I see them show what Ken Starr was really all about
and send a reporter to dig up the Vince Foster Murder tapes from Jerry Falwell...just because Hillary is running. :eyes: When Blitzer goes after the RW who Hunted the President (Joe Conason's book: The Hunting of the President) then I might believe they are going to do some serious news reporting.

While they are at it they can report that Al Gore didn't say he "Invented the Internet," and that John Kerry was viciously attacked by RW Swiftboater Liars.

7. It's not true. For one, Madrasas is college or grad school and he was 6
Also the school is a government run public school that doesn't teach any religion. They teach openess to all of them but are not a religious school.

10. KoKo I'm not sure what you are getting at?
What happened to both Kerry and Gore was wrong but are you saying that we should accept inaction on this by CNN because they did not fight this fight for Gore or Kerry? Obama deserves it because it happened to Gore and Kerry? If that is the case you lost me.

12. Read my post again. I'm saying they did for Obama what they wouldn't
do for any other Dem Candidate in the past. I question why they are making a big deal over the Obama Lies while they allowed Kerry and Gore lies to harm their chances for the Presidency.

Here's a link to the You Tube video and CNN's story on it from "Think Progress."

15. So again I ask. . .
. . .is there anything wrong with them making a big deal out of the lies? What happened to Gore and Kerry was wrong but they can't go back in the past. Its a yes or no question are you saying they should not have looked into the allegation?

17. I'm saying they are Hypocrits....and why the big deal for Obama lies and not Hillary
lies since she just declared her OWN run for Presidency? If Media sends a reporter to track down the Obama lie...when are they going to track down the lies about Clinton, Gore and Kerry.

21. You have to remember that Kerry purposely chose to ignore the Swiftboats
He didn't wanna address their smear initially, so how do we expect the media to take it upon themselves? Obama's campaign called on Fox to stop the smear and CNN did an subsequent investigation. Kerry should've done the same thing instead of just letting the slime ferment for weeks before addressing it.

13. IMO, This is Media taking sides as usual.
It has been my observation that the Media were the original
Clinton Haters. If one has time to follow the various
TV Networks and Cable, they often talk in doublespeak
where Hillary is concerned. "What is she going to do with Bill?"
"They cannot apear on the same stage--Bill overshadows her"
Little snide comments. "American people are getting tired
of Dynasties" translated means Media are tired of the Bushes Clintons.
If Hillary wins and serves two terms then they fear Jeb Bush will
be in line. Taken to a crazy extreme. Jeb finishes then Chelsea.

They hoped OBama would wow the world, the way he wowed them(Media)--at
least enough Democrats to knock Hilary out of the race.

The dirty little secret is they want a Republican President
preferrably McCain. It is difficult for them to imagine
OBama beating McCain so their man is in.

My candidate of choice is not in the race so I am not
just schilling for Hillary. Just a political junkie.

18. How special is the treatment, I wonder.
Did it get mentioned every so often on headline news so that everyone would hear about it? Do you know if they posted it on their website? Or was it only on Wolf's show. If the latter is the case then I don't think they really hurt themselves trying to be fair.

If they really are trying to report the facts to the people then it's a little surprising to me too because they've been acting like they work FOR the republican government for years.

22. Frankly, I'm happy that SOMEBODY on our side is getting special
treatment. We're owed, bigtime, to compensate for the way our people were raked over the coals and called every name in the book, while schmuck got the benefit of the doubt time and time again.

Perhaps they're afraid to come out against him for fear they might be labeled racist?

Hey, the Machiavellian in me says "I don't care WHAT the reason is." I'm just glad they're bending over backwards to be genuinely fair to one of ours.

23. Faux said that it was Hillary's people that were the source of the Obama smear
as it turned out, that too was a smear. When you get caught on a lie or fabrication, blame someone else!

Oy!
