5. I don't know, but it pissed me off when he was talking about how
wonderful it was to teach young children safety issues, etc. It would be nice if cared about the air, water etc., quality for those same young children.

6. My girls love Baby Einstein
M girls (1 1/2 and 2 1/2) love her videos. There are different themes for each video (for example, Baby Galileo is about space, stars, etc., Baby Neptune is about water, oceans) They promote classical music (my hubby is a church organist and we love that kind of music along with our rock), letters, numbers, etc. And I love the toys they have on the videos. Not the average beeping annoying child plays it for two minutes before they get bored kind of thing but real old fashioned toys. Not too bad as far as toddler videos go. Very calming actually right before nap time.

9. Well that explains that. A bit of a national commercial for those
who own stock.

12. kicking - still would like answers
Why promote this one woman and company in a forum like the SOTU? Was it about women in business? a subtle push for educational software? Disney? what, what was it?

13. Baby Einstein is great stuff
I don't think it is as nefarious of a connection as you believe. I just think she was an example (a female/mommy) example of how entrepeneuralship of America has made this woman into a mega millionaire and he was using her for that purpose. Not a very relevant move on his part, but let's not bash a great product, that would be silly.
