When Bush Said He Will Ask Congress...
To Increase Our Military Forces By 92,000 did he mean the DRAFT? My question is sincere. I really don't know what he meant by that statement. On the 2nd night of Presidental Debates on Oct 4th 2004 he stared right into the eye of the camera and promised me and every other mother that there would never be a draft as long as he was president "PERIOD".

1. No. Their sizes are set by Congress. It just increases what they're permitted. Not a draft.

but on a serious note, I don't think he means a draft. I think thats the number with phased increase in just the military force over a number of years. The "civilian core" (voluntary...FOR NOW) made me pissed. There's something about a skills draft that I sense in that statement, if not now, then a set up for one.
