Unfortunately, I was in a district Dems meeting during the speech and didn't record it.

I saw it though (it was on a TV in the meeting room) and everyone in the room had the same opinion -

That pic will cost McCain any chance that he had for the Rep nomination next year.

I just need the pic for my blog.

1. I don't think anyone really 'believes' the "man with the golden tie"

was actually sleeping tonight. He was just looking down (at what? who knows? :shrug:). If you want to appear to have a credible blog (whichever one it is)...."this dog just won't hunt" with the McCain 'sleeping' meme.

4. Asking a question is better than stating something as fact that "just isn't"

And yes, a "leading-question" such as "was McCain Sleeping" is a very 'Republinesque' technique.

5. Actually, I was going to put up the pic

FYI - I am a Democrat, and write a Dem-friendly blog; my interest in the pic is that I live in AZ, and McCain is one of my senators.

An aside to the FYI - my senators are McCain and Kyl. Ahhhhhhh!!

As of course you know, republicans frequently use the question trick to spread rumors without caring whether or not they are true. I wasn't suggesting that YOU were a republican, just that you might want to take a page out of their playbook.

of the speech. McCain, as was Kennedy, in a similar picture were seen to be doing the same thing.
