While they also back this tragic war, and support the death penalty.

Hypocrisy at it's finest, my friends.

The GOP will not shove the bible down my throat as some political tool. I will not allow them!!

....And I agree, Jean Schmidt is a witch

7. These nitwits are sick...

...and they are deranged. However, they vote in extremely high numbers. That's the big problem. The wack jobs
are motivated--while the average person is unmotivated.

Rovian marketeering was all about culling votes from this bizarre demographic. They figured out how to convince
these freaks that Junior was their man. Oh how Rove and Junior must howl with laughter at these people! We've heard
the leaks about Rove and other Republicans higher-ups calling these people nut jobs.

The Fundies thought they were finally validated. It's clear now to everyone that Junior used these people
and that he could care less about abortion or gay marriage. He used these people to perpetuate his death
machine.

All of these people should be ashamed and riddled with guilt---that they allowed themselves to be used and
led around by the noses---by a sociopathic thug murderer.

8. I heard Randi's interview with her earlier, and I wish that I could
watch, but I don't receive HBO! Perhaps there will be a DVD?

George Bush** and his ilk are the reasons that my kids refuse to attend church anymore and won't admit to having christian ideas. As they put it, the so-called christians and the churches around here are as corrupt as Bush** and his minions. "They certainly don't proclaim the values of Jesus."

Please keep those of us who can't watch posted.

12. Who needs a church?
To say you attend? Like that means something?
Belief in itself does not require a church.

15. No, it was the choice made by my children.
Please don't call me sister, nor talk down to me.

My children noticed the difference between what churches in our area touted and the teachings of Christ.

20. If your family is within the Catholic Faith ...
Some Parishes are more TOLERANT (Liberal) than others.

We're very happy with our Parish but it is not the norm, i.e., *most* Franciscans serve (and teach) by example not by by coercion or preachy come-ons. :-)

My pre-teen daughter attends Mass with me (also catechism), however, should she have a change of heart, I would talk with her about not wanting to attend, but I would not ever force my religion - even on my beloved child.

When it comes down to it, that's what Jesus stood for: Winning people over by setting the example of love and devotion to all peoples.

No, like your children, I can't even begin to relate to the right wing Christian's view of our FORCEFUL and LEGISLATIVE Morality.

Jesus would want us to freely choose to do what is moral even if we do not convert.

As an aside, my beloved father died at the age of 86 y.o. a year ago. Because my Grandmother was a true Southern "Gideon Baptist" devotee, dad was absolutely turned-off by ANY organized religion. He raised us children Agnostic. However, my Mom told me that he cherished my firm assertion, "Dad you're going straight to Heaven. There's too much goodwill and compassion in your soul for Saint Peter to not open The Gates for you." Mom said that he'd repeat this claim over and over again.

I believe, deep down, there is something beautiful within each of our souls that warrants redemption. Well, for each of us who do OUR BEST to be fair and love one another. :-)

11. Homosexuality and abortion are their cash cows
From what little I have read many churches were barely surviving until a few things happened: TV for the evangelicals and abortion as an issue later coupled with homosexuality. Maybe they are sincere, but one thing is for sure abortion and homosexuality has bought a lot of Rolexes and Lexuses for those good ol' boys.

13. that was surreal, i was torn between being angry, creeped out and just
plain disgusted. The evolution part made me want to scream. The least creepy person in the whole thing was the cross guy and was no prize.

16. Did you See the Poster Boy for Hypocrisy?
Rev. Ted's smarmy mug was prominently featured, I thought. Indeed, pride goeth before a fall and men fall into the pits they have dug for others.

17. I can barely put into words my feelings after watching that show.

I started out with equal parts disgust, fascination, pity, and anger. The more I watched the ANGRIER I became. At times I was literally screaming at the TV, at other times I was laughing hysterically.

Was anyone else...frightened by that? The hair on my arms stood up at points. I think it comes from the realization that I could never, ever be so gullible, and that I can never share anything with these poeple. EVER. I want nothing to do with them. Fuck them.

Hey, I live in Ontario, Canada. I saw my first Jesus fish sticker on a car the other day. I couldn't believe the billboards and crap that litter your streets and highways- that's disgusting.

I don't know what to say - I fear for those children.

18. I watched it too.
I was waiting to hear about how these people work for social justice or help the poor. But no, it was just about how much they are victimized and how they are working to get their point of view made into law. Fuck the lot of them. The more they preach, the more secular I get.

19. I guess Mike Wallace and Nancy Pelosi have something in common?
That is, albeit never admitted, profound disappointment in their children's life choices. Perhaps they could commiserate in private. ;)

You can't predict how a child will develop. I've had close friends who've shared with me, some of their kids grow up "not so good" and some "are golden."

BTW a couple days ago on Washington Journal, some former Moonie Times reporter declared that "the rest of the news media" did NOT treat Nancy's daughter like she thought she should be treated. Well, King George took care of those old meanies by inviting her up front on the flight back from a campaign stop. THAT SHOWED THEM!

Both of these offspring (of Mike Wallace and Nancy Pelosi) are seemingly spoiled and harbor an unattractive sense of self-entitlement within their persona. I guess that may be one of the dangers of being a public figure, i.e., your children grow up thinking that they deserve immediate success.

As much as I detest the fact that Chelsea Clinton choose to work within Hedge Funds, she did not ever give me the impression that she was "entitled to the media spotlight." Quite the opposite. And for that fact, I admire Chelsea. :-)

21.  I thought the production value could have been a little better...

She mainly just walked into places and said "What's going on here?". She should have asked the tough questions. Overall, I thought it could have been pulled off a little better, tighter.
She was starting to annoy me a little bit. The title was a little arrogant as well, "...with Alexandra Pelosi".

The show still scared the life out of me. I can't wait until it comes on again - kinda like watching a train wreck or something. You don't want to watch, but you JUST HAVE to.
