Poll question: Will you switch? If you already support someone, but Gore decides to run, will you move your suppor
support to him.

Carville thinks Gore is going to run. So, with that in mind, I am trying to decide if I would change my mind to support Gore. I'm afraid the longer he waits to announce, the harder it will be for people to make changes in who they want to be our candidate

3. I trust Carville anymore about as much as I trust
Carlson or Hannity, and I really, truly doubt that Gore will throw his hat in the ring again. I think he's happier doing what he's doing now and he feels he's found his "calling." If he does, however, he'd better not have Edwards as his number two, not after that speech he gave in Israel this week. I've totally lost all respect for him now.

4. It certainly will complicate things even more...
I've been a longtime Kerry supporter and am now looking at Obama and perhaps Richardson.

If Gore gets in, I would certainly support his right to run, but would want to see how it plays out with debates and speeches before I jump on that train. I was for Bradley in 2000, so I remember a bit about that time...

I don't trust Carville as much as I can spit on him, so his assessment means nothing to me. To be honest, I don't think Al is going to run.

5. I would support Gore
Especially since Kerry is out and I am not pleased with the dearth of foreign policy expertise in the current field. However, Wes Clark would have to decide he is not running before this happened.

except I thought Kerry would be a disaster. I guess an honest count would have proven me wrong, at least in Fla and Oh, but we knew there would be problems going in. Having JK as our standard bearer just added to them.

I'm with Clark to the end, but if he doesn't run I'd pick Gore over ANY of the other candidates.

7. I will support Wes Clark if he runs, and I still expect that he will, because...
Wes has shown real leadership in confronting controversial political issues regarding war and peace. Specifically, Wes Clark, with help from John Kerry and Dennis Kucinich and some others, has actively been campaigning against the war hawks regarding Iran for over two years. Clark has taken that fight right at anyone who leads with their saber regarding Iran. Clark is the only voice I hear loud and strong in the Democratic Party willing to present the case for coexistance with Iran even if it appeared they were about to obtain nuclear weapons. Clark is the top Democrat willing to spend his political capital painting the frightening picture of what the unintended consequences of an American military strike on Iran might be. Other Democrats mouth support for diplomacy, but that is not enough. Even George Bush mouthed support for diplomacy prior to attacking Iraq.

I have not heard Al Gore talking about this matter. I like and respect Al Gore a lot, but I will not switch my primary alliegence to Gore if General Clark enters the race. I value what Wes Clark is doing to stop the next war now too much to abandon the man who is taking the lead to prevent war with Iran.

8. I'll stick with Wes Clark
unless he choses not to run, and then would support Gore.

9. I'll follow the Old Man wherever he wants to go... (Wes Clark)...
...but IF he were not to run, I'd lean fairly strongly toward Gore.

10. Gore, Gore, all the way. I do have a few reservations about
what he would be like in the debates, too.

When I have listened to him in the past few months, I kept focusing on the part where he said he wouldn't rule out running, but now I'm waking up and really listening to the part where he says he HAS NO PLANS FOR RUNNING.

Edwards was my backup man, but now I'm not sure about him.

11. I will support Gore if he decides to run.
I'm not real excited about anyone currently in the race, but I would love to see a Gore/Clark ticket. That would be unbeatable, IMO.
