Pelosi has no time for impeachment just photo-ops
No time for impeachment, just time for an Iraq trip, an auto show and a mayor's conference. So little time for our country but so little interest in getting rid of the core of evil.

6. I'm with you Rose
here's another link thanks to seafan:
(AP) BAGHDAD House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Rep. John Murtha, both vocal war critics, were in the Iraqi capital Friday at the head of a delegation of House members on a fact-finding mission as the White House and Congress dueled over the expansion of U.S. forces in Iraq.

The Pelosi delegation visited the heavily fortified Green Zone, site of the American Embassy, and met with Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki.

People should stop and think that perhaps, just perhaps, what she sees in Iraq will light a fire under her ass to realize how crucial IMPEACHMENT may be, if WE can't get the whole cabal to resign!!! We can't wait 'til 08 for a "savior" folks. I'm afraid this world can't last that long with * in office. We are going to be in WWIII by spring if * isn't out of power!!!!:nuke:

that has not been filtered by the White House. The trip was a great idea.

18. it's likely to be the first step to formal opposition
she needs to be seen by the public as being familiar with the
lay of the land, so to speak. otherwise, her opposition to the
war would appear capricious. it is not only the right thing
to do, it is required, if we are to effectively oppose the war.

4. When the Libby trial is over
and the John Conyer's hearings are complete, then there will be evidence to convince the whole country to impeach. Impeachment proceedings at this point would probably fail; Pelosi is a winner.

7. I don't believe she said she has "no time" for impeachment.
She HAS said "let's see where the evidence takes us" and "wouldn't Republicans just love it if Bush and Cheney were the scapegoats for their failures as a political party." PARAPHRASED.

10. How dare she visit Iraq when she promised us an impeachment. Oh, wait...
... she promised no impeachment ... back in October, November, December, and January.

So what's your problem?

15. IMPEACHMENT
You cant have impeachment without investigations and hearings..............
even tho the evidence is there, we must have a list of facts that cannot be disputed at all.

The Democrats in their first 100hours have done more then the Republicans have done in 12years
She is doing fantastic

20. the reality is

that no one in the leadership wants their legacy to be a failed
impeachment, or even defeated articles of impeachment. that's
just the way it is. no one in the leadership is going to attempt
this unless it is a relatively sure thing.

Damn! What the hell is she doing eating while she should be impeaching? :sarcasm:

She's been Speaker of the House for less than a month. She's already worked harder than Hasert ever did. Give it a little time. There must be investigations. In the meantime, it's a fact of life she is in the public eye and people will be taking pictures of her - and everybody can't work 24 hours a day.

19. Here's a big hint for you. It's Politics 101
The fact that if or when impeachment hearings happen, Dick Cheney AND George Bush will be pretty much investigated together, due to the dynamic relationship between the two.

Guess who is next in line? Any guess?

That's right, bubba...it's Nancy.

So...if you think she's going to be all about impeachment and for going after Bush and Cheney as her first major efforts, you either naive about how politics works or you don't know that she's third in line if Bush and Cheney are removed from power.

I think she's doing just fine...and we may have a woman President in 2008...with the first name Nancy.

22. A person need not go to Iraq to know Bush must be impeached
She may not have promised impeachment but she is wrong to take it off the table.

She should be doing everything she can to hold Bush accountable. I don't need to go to Iraq to know the war is lost and Bush is a miserable failure. Bush is threatening to attack Iran- she needs to focus on removing him from office.

By the way, the car stuff. The car looks like a
low on gas type of car, a hybrid perhaps? I
imagine it has something to do with our
precious environment/reliance on oil....

27. She had no good reason to take Impeachment off the table
How does she plan to hold him accountable then?

She said Iraq is her top priority, but she will not cut the funding even as Bush starts an escalation and promises to attack Iran next.

What is she doing to stop Bush?

Once the evidence comes in where noone can ignore it any longer they'll have to or the entire government will lose its legitimacy.
