Well that techically is still a five day work week, I guess.

Jim Webb just adjourned the Senate.

1. Lets not forget in most previous Congresses
They'd have convened at the beginning of the month then gone on holiday till the State of the Union.

As it is, a big improvement I'd say

4. That is true
Hell they have already done about two years of work compared to the 109th.

2. For Christs Sake
republicans only get barely two days to rekindle the flames that burn so brightly in pro-family and pro-life households. How do they do it? Gosh they won't have time to fund raise or plot and scheme against poor people or nothing.

5. They still won't pass the minimum wage
And I am so disgusted with the media...when Frist was calling the dems obstructionist because they tried to block some of the outrageous bills, I have not heard one word in the media about the republicans do a mini-filbuster because the democrats won't let they add six or seven amendments to give more tax breaks to the rich and famous.

8. The 109th Congress
In its first session in 2005, the 109th Congress was in session for five days in January. In its second session in 2006, they were in session for two days in January. Two fricking days!

So far, the 110th Congress has been in session for 13 days. The 109th Congress reached its thirteenth day in session on March 6, 2006.

This is not your Republican father's do-nothing Congress!

10. I think that's a good compromise. Travel on Friday afternoon
and Monday morning. I'd give them that. Three day weeks were ridiculous, though.
