It's only 1/07 and I'm sick of candidates already. I'm sick of Al Sharpton
with his little threat of "running for Prez" and dictating to the Dems what they need to and need not do. What is that all about? Why are the news programs all scrutinizing the Democratic candidates but not the Republics??? Why is the news not reporting more about McCain sleeping during the SOTU? Of course, I can't bear to watch Fox Noise so maybe it's being covered there. Perhaps I'm ranting too early, but really, it's January, '07. This 24/7 constant scrutiny of the Dems is really getting boring, Hardball being one of the worst offenders. By the time the primaries roll around who will care enough to pay attention? What if, after Al Gore picks up his Oscar, he decides he might like to run? Will he be too late to get in the race? I realize the nation has Bush fatigue and can't wait to get him out of the WH. I want to hear about the Libby trial, I want to hear about the treasonous acts of Cheney, I want to hear what Mary Matalin and her minions contributed to this treason. Is anyone else as sick of politics so soon, or is my attention span in deficit???

1. It's the media's fault
You have to give them a break, really. They have sharks in Summer, storms in Fall, snow in Winter, and rising temperatures in Spring. You want them to actually go find news, when there's polling that could be done? Come on! You can't poll whether or not people like Summer, Winter, Fall or Spring! The margin of error would be enormous!

There's nothing relevant going on, of course they're going to cover the elections. There's nothing else left!

15. Sharpton is quick witted and able to explain and stand up for Dem Policy
than most of our Candidates ever have been able to. I hope he runs. He can keep other candidates on their toes with his plain speaking and sharp insight.

3. I'm sick of politics as described by the corporate owned media
and trying to cheapen the entire electoral process into some sort of American Idol competition.

7. Republican primary politics are a snoozefest, that's why the MSM doesn't cover them
Someone always has a huge financial advantage and that person always win. It will be over as soon as Romney or McCain is annointed by the party machinery.

8. Sharpton's here to stay. If he runs, he'll add spice to the primary debates.
If he doesn't run, he's free to give an early boost to any one of the frontrunners.

The article's called "Sleeping with the GOP" by Wayne Barrett with special reporting by Adam Hutton and Christine Lagorio if you want to Google it.
