Poll question: ...... and who will play the Barry Goldwater role?
Goldwater is the one who delivered the message to Nixon that it was time.

If it were to go down like that this time, who among the Republicans carries the gravitas, moral weight, and the wide support of his party that Goldwater enjoyed back then?

I'd say it would be John Warner. Who do you think?

1. Me too - Warner
Frankly, I don't think he'll listen to anyone until the Senate actually impeached him. And the authorities removed him from the White House.

9. None of the above.
Richard Nixon listened to the party. George Bush does not.
Poppy Bush and James Baker tried and failed to save Junior
from himself. He will not listen to advice that counters
his own vision and he is prepared to take the GOP down
the drain.

Bush's closest advisers, Rice and Rove, might be able to
reach him, but they don't get it either.
